According to legend, Saint Patrick used a wooden staff, also known as "Bachall Isu," to help him travel through the countryside and preach to the people. Despite being born in Britain, Saint Patrick was captured and taken to Ireland as a slave when he was a teenager. After escaping and returning home, he later felt called by God to return to Ireland as a missionary. He spent the rest of his life preaching, building churches, and baptizing converts until his death on March 17th, which is now celebrated as St. Patrick's Day around the world.
