St Thomas Aquinas T-shirt | "The Dumb Ox" 🐮
$33.00
This vintage design was inspired by the story of St. Thomas Aquinas, a Doctor of the Church.
Because of his girth and his sluggish speech, Thomas's classmates dubbed him the Dumb Ox while he was in school. Nevertheless, St. Albert, his instructor, observed of him, "We call this man a dumb ox, but his bellowing in doctrine will one day resound throughout the world." It turns out that those were accurate words.
